Greening Greenfield Nature Walk, Highland Park, Greenfield, April 29, 2023 at 8:30am
Join wildlife ecologist and naturalist Pat Serrentino for a walk in Highland Park to explore the many habitats in this urban park. We will look and listen for the animals that reside year round in the park, as well as those that migrate to our area in the spring.
Our focus will be on the vernal pools in the park, and the migrant birds that breed in the forest. The park is home to a surprising abundance of wildlife, including wood frogs, spotted salamanders and garter snakes, as well as Eastern phoebes, common ravens, pileated woodpeckers, and several warblers.
The walk is free and geared to adults and children over 8 yrs. Heavy rain cancels. To add your name to the registration list email: This email address is being protected from spambots.
