Greening Greenfield Programs

Energy

Greening Greenfield advocates for the move away from fossil fuels, toward more sustainable types of energy, e.g. solar, wind, hydro and other natural sources of power.

Nature

We work with nature to increase native habitat, water infiltration, and carbon sequestration, in order to stabilize our climate and nurture all life on earth.

Materials

More than “waste” management, modern “materials management” doesn’t just look at how to best get rid of stuff at the end of a linear process. It includes the whole circular system of production, reduction, use, and reuse, where the full life cycle implications are taken into account. Look here for information about plastics reduction, product stewardship, composting, and a whole bunch of fun definitions related to what we used to think of as “waste”.

Housing

As concerned residents and organizations we aim to find and advocate for creative, affordable solutions to meet the housing needs of people of different incomes, abilities and stages of life.

Youth

We work with Greenfield’s schools to inspire and support teachers and students to learn about our planet, the concept of sustainability, and what we can do to be better stewards.
