Wed, Oct. 25, 2017, 6:30-9 pm Film and Discussion with Claire Chang, Solar Store of Greenfield, promises to lift our spirits click on the title

in a world that suddenly seems dark and scary. HOPE is the theme for the 2017-8 film series, and this first film shows how new creative solutions and the plunging cost of renewable energy sources is bringing cheap, clean energy to communities around the world. There is even a hopeful possible solution for storing solar energy right in our own yards!

Claire Chang of The Solar Store of Greenfield will lead the discussion and share with us new technologies that are coming along. Joannah Whitney, film committee member adds, “This will be a fascinating look into a field that has seemed exotic up to now. Imagine storm-ravaged countries and states not losing power after a major storm!”

WHERE: First Congregational Church, 43 Silver Street, Greenfield. Please park behind the church and come in the back door. The space is wheelchair accessible.

 WHEN: 6:30 PM - 9 PM Refreshments are served

The film series is organized a join committee of Greening Greenfield and Traprock Center for Peace and Justice. 

Greening Greenfield is a group of concerned citizens working with residents, businesses and town government to make Greenfield a more sustainable and vibrant place to live.

The Traprock Center for Peace and Justice works in community to end violence against Earth, her people, and all living things and to support all endeavors to bring about a just world.
