Cut your Heating costs! Get off fossil fuels!

Learn about new programs and new incentives for all income levels!

Finding the money to upgrade your home or car and get off of fossil fuels is very complex! Greening Greenfield offering an Energy Fair, to introduce the new programs and incentives for all income levels, and offer opportunities to meet people who can help and sign you up to get started. The Energy Fair will be held Monday, Nov 18, 5:30-7:30 pm at the John Zon Community Center.

“With all this new money available, now is the time to explore how to make your home more comfortable and get off of fossil fuels, the major cause of climate change.” said Nancy Hazard of Greening Greenfield, “I’m excited about the many venders who are joining us to talk with attendees and sign-up them up to get started.”

After a brief introduction from Allison Gage from the Franklin Regional Council of Governments (FROCG), co-sponsor of the event, each vendor will introduce themselves and briefly explain what they are offering. Attendees will then be invited to chat with the vendors that fit their income level and interest.

Community Action, the Center for EcoTechnology, Mass Save Home Performance Contractors, and companies that offer heat pumps and solar installations will be on hand. There will also be information about rebates and incentives offered through the Inflation Reduction Act for homes and appliances, and to reduce the cost of new and used electric vehicles.

“One program we’ll talk about at the workshop is the Energy Saver Home Loan (ESHL) program, which is offered through Massachusetts’ new Community Climate Bank,” Says Allison Gage of FRCOG. “This is a program that will likely be helpful to homeowners who are interested in making the switch to electric heating and cooling, as it will provide financing to get a roof ready for a solar installation, in addition to heat pumps, solar panels, and other technologies and improvements.”

Free Pizza will be served. To help organizers plan, pre-registration is encouraged by filling out this short Google Form: https://bit.ly/energyfair24 or by calling 413-774-5667.
