Housing

Housing Greenfield arose out of the 2020 Greening Greenfield (GG) Housing Forum that was a joint endeavor with Franklin County Continuing the Political Revolution (FCCPR).    While still affiliated with GG, it now operates semi-independently and with many local partners.

As concerned residents and organizations we aim to find and advocate for creative, affordable solutions to meet the housing needs of people of different incomes, abilities and stages of life.

Housing Greenfield Mission

Housing Greenfield is committed to the following:  To identify buildings and land in the downtown area and within every neighborhood with the goal of creating community for all people, including those with a physical or mental disability.  It will seek developers committed to building affordable, lifelong, inclusive housing;  and will find or create support for whatever policies, zoning changes and funding will  be needed to build and maintain housing.  Click here for a list of organizations with links, and for abbreviations of common Housing topics.

History

Housing Greenfield grew out of the 2021 forum Housing is a Human Right, We Can Make it Happen, co-organized by Greening Greenfield and Franklin County Continuing the Political Revolution (FCCPR).

HOUSING FORUM VIDEOS

Each of the 9 workshops of the forum were videotaped and still provide an excellent background for different aspects of this huge topic.  We are pleased to present them here.
