Bag-making workshop at Sunderland Library

Saturday, June 1, 2024 The GG Reusable Bag group held it’s first “Trainers of Trainers” workshop at the Sunderland Library.

There were a number of trainers to help participants complete each step of the bagmaking process.  They showed individuals how to use each machine required to effect the transformation of a feed bag through sturdy, reusable bag.  Those who wished to become  trainers came early for the pre-workshop which was provided for free.  There were four people come early to get more details on how to set up and run an event, including 2 from Friends of Erving Library.  Watch for a bag-making event there in the future!

The bag-making saw 19 people make about 44 bags with 18 kept, and 26 donated, with a couple made especially as presents for lucky grandparents.
