The True Cost

The True Cost showed the shift in how clothes are made today, where they are made, and who makes them.  A culture of “fast fashion” has been created by the clothing industry to make styles that change from week to week and are so cheap they’re no longer wash and wear, but wear and throw away.  The film took us to countries where our clothes are made, the materials that are used, and the human and environmental destruction that follows: the true cost of many of the clothes we wear.

This is a free event at LAVA, 324 Main Street.
Doors open at 5pm.  Seating is limited, so come early.
Light supper/snack foods will be provided.
