Reusable Bag Workshop

On Saturday, April 4, 2026, Greenfield Public Library, the Friends of Reusable Bags guided folks through the process of of converting seed bags into useful bags for multiple uses, shopping, laundry . . . anything you can think of.  It was fun, interesting and the product is one small step in saving the feeds bags from land fill.

Approximately 35 visitors from the Farmers Market on the first floor of the Library found their way to Makers Space on the Library’s 2nd floor to make a sturdy, multi-use reusable bag out of seed bags.  Over 72 bags were created, 30 of which were donated to a variety of places around town, e.g. food pantry, grocery stories, etc,.
